The Russian Foreign Ministry regarded the decision taken by the Polish parliament on Wednesday to include Russia in the list of “state sponsors of terrorism” as a planned measure as part of the anti-Russian campaign in Western countries.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing today, Thursday: “The lower house of the Polish parliament passed a resolution recognizing Russia as, as they said, “a terrorism-sponsoring state… This unfriendly move is part of a planned political media campaign by the West.” against our country.
She added that Western countries, led by the United States, use labels such as “terrorist state”, “terrorist regime” and “terrorist state sponsor” to attach them to unwanted adversaries in order to legitimize the unilateral coercive measures it takes against them, which is contrary to the principle of sovereign equality.
Zakharova pointed out that the move also comes in the context of fabricating a new story to divert attention from numerous Russian and foreign reports accusing Poland of planning to annex land in western Ukraine.
