Meta has announced the launch of its subscription service in the US, allowing Facebook and Instagram users to pay for a confirmation badge.

The company that owns the social media platforms said in a statement that the verification service will issue a blue badge to users after verifying their accounts using a government-issued ID, with a fee of $11.99 per month for web users, or $14.99 per month for iOS. systems from Apple and Android.

Last February, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of a monthly subscription service that allows Facebook and Instagram users to verify their accounts for up to $14.99 per month.

Zuckerberg indicated that a new feature called “Meta Verified” would blue-check users’ accounts to verify their identity and fight attempts to impersonate them.

Users will also have direct access to the customer support department.
