Senior officials have revealed plans by the US administration to send shipments of GPS-based equipment to Ukraine that will allow Kyiv to convert conventional munitions into guided munitions.
According to the Washington Post, these are US-developed Joint Direct Attack Munition kits, which were previously used by the US military to convert aerial bombs into smart and guided bombs that are used on bombers or fighters. .
It should be noted that it is currently unclear whether President Joe Biden or any of his national security advisers actually approved the transfer of these groups to Kyiv.
