The National Institute of Statistics of Tunisia reported today, Tuesday, that Tunisia’s trade deficit increased by 59% in 11 months of this year to a record high of 23.281 billion dinars ($7.26 billion), driven by a sharp trade deficit. energy.

The trade deficit is one of the major dilemmas facing the Tunisian government in light of the deepening economic crisis.

The Institute of Statistics also reported that in November, the electricity deficit amounted to 9.2 billion dinars, which is about 40% of the total deficit.
