Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Al-Nasser confirmed on Sunday that the company supports energy security and development in China in the long term.

Nasser said in a speech at a forum in Beijing that Aramco has partnerships and emission reduction technologies with China to produce low-carbon products.

He stressed that increasing Aramco’s production capacity by one million bpd to 13 million bpd by 2027 would improve “China’s energy security” in the long term.

Saudi Aramco’s CEO explained that the global energy transition is in dire need of “some realism and clarity.”
