The animated film with the most anticipation this year is Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The film aims to surpass the legacy of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, its Oscar-winning predecessor, and it could. With several Spider-People and their various dimensions, the forthcoming film has a wide range of animation and creative styles. Fans got a peek into Spider-Man India’s realm, Mumbattan, in a brand-new teaser that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller shared on the movie’s official Twitter account.

SpiderMan Across the SpiderVerse

The brief film gives us a nice glimpse of Spider-Man India, alias Pavitra Prabhakar. Miller further explains, “He lives in a realm we call Mumbattan, which is based on these Indian comic novels from the 1970s.” The name has the same pronunciation as Mumbai, the hometown of the comic book character. Lord said, “This realm is supposed to be Manhattan but backward. Consequently, it drops down instead of upward.”

Mumbattan seems like an essential dimension, given that the film has a lot of upside-down advertising material. In the forthcoming film, Miles will be shown attempting to balance being a young adult and Spider-Man. As shown in the teasers, Miles will be launched across the Multiverse after meeting Gwen and will come upon a group of Spider-People tasked with safeguarding its very existence. However, things start to go wrong when Miles is put up against the other Spider-People. For Miles and his followers, the movie will be a rollercoaster of emotions that includes a lot of adventure.
